Reduce SPAM with the Webfodder SPAM Filter
The
Webfodder SPAM filter attempts to identify SPAM e-mail based on several tests
that are performed on all messages received by our servers. If enough tests are
failed the mail is flagged as SPAM, which allows our users to filter these
messages accordingly. Although the filter does not catch 100% of SPAM messages,
it consistently catches a large percentage of suspect e-mail. Of course, some
valid messages will be flagged as SPAM. As such, we suggest that our users
follow the instructions below to configure SPAM filters that will aggregate
suspect messages in a specific folder in the e-mail program, and that these
suspect message subjects be reviewed to make sure valid mail is not missed.
After reviewing the subjects of the suspected SPAM messages the user can take
appropriate action (i.e. delete the messages). Please follow the instructions
below to configure your mail program for SPAM filtering:
